VT Organic Birch Syrup

Our newest venture at Georgia Mountain Maples is crafting birch syrup.  Made in much of the same way as maple syrup, birch syrup is it’s own unique experience and flavor.  Birch trees are tapped, the sap is gathered and run through the reverse osmosis machines.  The same love and care is given to this birch sap as it runs through the evaporator.  At the perfect moment birch sap is turned into birch syrup.  The syrup is then filtered through a press to make clean, sparkling clear syrup. The birch syrup is then bottled and sold in our sugarhouse and in our store through the website.  It takes over 100 gallons of birch sap to make just one gallon of birch syrup.  Compare this to maple, as it takes around 40 gallons of maple sap to make one gallon of maple syrup.

Our Birch syrup is certified Organic as well.  Birch syrup has a sweet savory taste and is most often used as an ingredient paired with pork or salmon dishes in sauces, glazes, and dressings, and as a flavoring in ice cream, beer and wine.  We believe that Georgia Mountain Birch Syrup is a truly unique product.  Birch syrup adds a bit of sophistication to any dish or retail offering. We are also blending our birch syrup and maple syrup to create a truly unique product that only Georgia Mountain Maples can create.  You can also purchase the blended version in our store and in the sugarhouse as well.  We would love the opportunity to explore new relationships with chefs, food services professionals and retailers, to see how our birch syrups can be a part of what you do.   Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
